My team and I have spoken to well over a hundred leads and asked this question: "Why dont you invest in your company today? The answer we sometimes get is : "I don't need marketing, my word of mouth is our best salesman".
There is one small problem in that method of thinking. What happens to your sales when your friends arent talking about your products or services during the braai? I would argue its quite reckless to have your entire business's future depend on what people talk about at their social gatherings?
So if you read so far, you've probably figured out that a marketing company talking about your "interesting" marketing strategy is probably gonna want to get you get a new logo, buy a new website bla bla.
But I dont want you to that right now. I just want you to remember this funny little article the next time. The next time the phone is quiet for most of the day. The next time you can book a meeting and have to lie about being busy the rest of the day. That is when I want you to maybe consider getting a bit of that online marketing going.
